KOM (Key Operator Maintenance) Program
The KOM program enables the customer (key operator) to perform limited service
on the varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series products. In addition to changing toner, the
key operator can replace the spiral cleaners, clear paper jams in the hot area,
clean the OPC belt, and adjust the paper quality factor, as required, based on the
part life and service alerts displayed on the Operator Panel. Canon USA highly
recommends using the KOM program as a method to maximize machine uptime.
9.1 Program Benefits
The KOM program increases customer satisfaction by providing customers with
greater control over their machine's uptime and productivity.
9.2 Training
The servicing dealer is responsible for the implementation and delivery of training
to the key operator prior to starting the KOM program. There are two KOM Levels:

The field technician actively trains the key operator during
installation.
