6-6. Touch panel problems

1. Touch operation is disabled.
2. No sound is heard when the panel is
touched.
3. The cursor is not positioned correctly.
4. The cursor moves irregularly or flips.

Problem Possible cause and remedy
• Thetouchpaneldrivermustbeinstalledwhenthis
productisusedasatouchpanelmonitor.Check
whetherthedriverhasbeeninstalledcorrectlyin
accordancewiththeInstallationGuide(ontheCD-
ROM).
• CheckthatthemonitorandPCareconnectedwitha
USBcable.
• RebootthePC.
• DependingonthehardwareconfigurationofthePC,
nosoundmaybeoutputfromitsaudiooutputterminal
whenthescreenistouched.
• Turnoffandonthemonitor.Ifthesymptomisnot
improved,performthecalibrationonthemonitor.
• Ifthesurfaceorasideofthepanelisdirty,cleanit.
• Checkthesettingenvironmentofthemonitor.This
functiondoesnotworkcorrectlyunderthefollowing
conditions.
 - Thepanelsurfaceissubjecttodirectorindirect
sunlightorstronglight.
 - Thereissomeinfrareddevicenearthemonitor.
 - Monitorsareadjacenttoeachother.
• Atouchinsensitivepointonthepanelmaybe
touched.
• Touchthepanelwithyourfinger,thesuppliedtouch
pen,oranon-reflectiveobjectthathasnoriskof
damagingthepanelsurface.
Ifanyofthefollowingisused,thetouchpaneldoes
notworkcorrectly.
 - Objectwhosesurfacechangesinshapewhen
touchingthepanel,suchasaglove
 - Mirror-likereflectiveobject
 - Transparentobjectsuchasanacrylicone
 - Thin-edgedobject
• Ifanarm(orotherstand)isattached,usethemonitor
inlandscapeviewmode.Ifthemonitorisused
inportraitviewmode,themonitordoesnotwork
correctly.(Thisproductdoesnotsupportportraitview
modewhenanarm(orotherstand)isattached.)
• Thisproductsupportsuptotwosimultaneous
touches(multi-touchsupport).Sincethetwosensors
atbothtopcornersofthescreenareusedtodetect
touches,themonitormaynotbeabletodetecttwo
simultaneoustouchespreciselydependingontheir
positions.
