Problem
Water won't boil

Possible Cause
The combustion quality of burner
flames needs to be determined
visually.
Burner parts not replaced correctly.
Plug on cooktop is not completely
inserted in the electrical outlet.
Gas supply not connected or
turned on.
A fuse in your home may be blown
or the circuit breaker tripped.
Igniter orifice in burner body may
be clogged.
Burner parts not replaced correctly.
Notch in burner head may be
clogged.
Be sure the knob is in the OFF
position.
Changing blower speed.
Improper air to gas ratio.
Notch in burner head may be
clogged.
Burner has not been used recently.
Vent fan set at high speed.
What To Do
Cover pan with a lid. Turn the downdraft fan OFF until the
water begins to boil.
Use the illustrations below to determine if your burner
flames are normal. If burner flames look like A, call for
yellow tipping on outer cones is normal.
