Removing & Installing Body Components

Removal
1.
CRF1100AL/DL
Remove the bolts A and washers using
the hex wrench provided on the
underside of the rear seat.
2.
CRF1100AL2/AL4/DL2/DL4
Remove the bolt B, bolts A and washers
using the hex wrench provided on the
underside of the rear seat.
Remove the collar.

Remove the skid plate by releasing its

grommet from the prong.

Torque: 26 N·m (2.7 kgf·m, 19 lbf·ft).

Torque: 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft).
Install the skid plate in the reverse order
of removal.
Install the collar.
Install the washers onto the bolts A.
Tighten the bolts A.
CRF1100AL2/AL4/DL2/DL4
Install the washer onto the bolt B and
tighten the bolt B.
