Front Panel
Bender/Modulation Lever
This lever changes the pitch of notes played and con-
trols vibrato (page 12).
Pitch Up/Down Switches
Modulation Switch
These switches change pitch and control vibrato
(page 13).
Rear Panel
MIDI Connector
This lets you connect the synthesizer to other
MIDI devices (page 34).

Connect a pedal switch to this jack (page 7).
This displays the music style number, tone
number, and other information.
OUTPUT Jack
This is used for sound output (page 7).
* For monaural output, use the L(MONO) jack.
PHONES Jack
Connect stereo headphones to this jack (page
6).
* With headphones connected, no sound is heard
from the synthesizer's built-in speakers.
Music Style/Tone Charts
These charts list the names of the music styles and tones
that are available, and are a handy reference when se-
lecting a music style or tone.
POWER Switch
This turn the power on and off (page 8).
Connect the AC adaptor to this jack (page 6).
* Be sure to use only the AC adaptor supplied with
the EM-305/303.
