Even if your audio/video components are not made by Pioneer,
performing the following procedure will enabie you to operate
them
with this unit's remote control and GUI. (if you do not
perform the following procedure, you will not be able to operate
other manufacturers' components with this unit's remote control.)
When operating, be sure to connect an IR repeater. (P. 11)
[ Calling up and setting up presets
This unit is already preset with the remote control signals of
other manufacturers'
components.
The following procedure
shows you how to call up and set up these presets.
1. Press the GUI button.
@ The GUI MENU is displayed.
® The menu differs according to the input set.
(The example shown
is when CD is set.)

2. Press the SET UP button.
'The SET UP MENU is displayed.

Select one of the five REMOTE CONTROL functions.
The display switches to REMOTE
SET UP indications. The
name of preset manufacturers are indicated in gray in the
lower half of the PRESET RECALL screen.
@ {f more brand names (manufacturer name) have been
preset than those displayed, press the NEXT button at the
bottom left side of the screen to display the other brand
names.

4, Select the manufacturer of your component.
The selected manufacturer's name and preset operation
buttons are indicated in biack.
This calis up the preset.
® If the desired brand name is not displayed, use the
"learning" function on page 31 to set it.
@ The buttons displayed in gray cannot be used in this
condition {they can be used by performing the "learning"
function on page 31.)

To return preset buttons to their original settings, press
the CLEAR button. The original settings are Pioneer
remote control commands,
5. Tofinish remote set up operation, press the EXIT button.

When CD is selected, select the player type as well.
FILE
: File type or magazine type CD players
SINGLE
—: General or magazine type CD players
NOTE:
Even if a brand name is specified, when several types of remote
control signals are used for one brand's component or a special
specification is used, some component may nat be operated. if
several signals are used, these can be selected by calling them
"1" or "2". 1 no operations are still carried out, perform the
"learning" function on page 31.
