Notification when an error occurs
[ALARM]
If an error occurs in the engine, the error notification pop-up
window appears.
In the error notification pop-up, the following items are
displayed:
• Product name and engine number of the engine in which
the error occurs
• Error type and status
• DTC (error details)
* The display contents differ depending on the error that occurs.
* Display of the notification when an error occurs [ALARM] can be set
to ON or OFF for each item. (P.41)
You can check the next error notification pop-up by pressing
any button in the Multi-Function Display. After you check all
error notifications, the engine information screen appears.
You can also check error information on the engine
information screen as described below.
• Main screen
The error location indicator and the Engine Check alert light
up red.
• Engine warning screen
Displays the contents of warnings that are currently being
issued.
In addition, the error location indicator and the Engine
Check alert light up red.

Notification description

There are five indicators that appear when errors occur.
Check Engine
Notifies of an error involving engine control or the security
system.
Charge Indicator
Notifies of errors involving the charge system.
Low Oil Pressure
Notifies of an error involving pressure of the engine oil.
Over Temperature
Notifies of engine overheating.
Engine Check
Notifies of the following states:
– Water in Fuel ... Water is mixed into the fuel system.
– Rev Limit Exceeded ... Engine over speed.
– Engine Emergency Stop Mode ... The emergency stop
switch is activated.
– Warning Level 1, Warning Level 2 ... For errors that
require particular attention, Warning Level 1, and for all
other errors, Warning Level 2.
– Power reduction ... Engine speed is restricted.
– Sensor Malfunction...The sensor is defective.
If there are any DTC notifications, the following notifications
are also displayed:
– FI system error...The engine is defective.
– DBW system error...The DBW system is defective.
– Security system error...Security system error.
– Security system low battery...The security system battery
is low.

For information on how to reset the maintenance time, see the
outboard motor's Owner's Manual.

Storage and cleaning

Soak a cloth in water, wring it tightly, and wipe the exterior
and monitor with it. Do not use alcohol, gasoline, detergent,
or other similar solvents. Doing so may damage the exterior
parts.
If the product is not used, cover it with the attached sun cover.
Do not expose the product to rain or direct sunlight.
