Securing the air filter box cover

Removing the main silencer

Warning
Danger of burns The exhaust system gets very hot when the vehicle is driven.

Allow the exhaust system to cool down before performing any work on the vehicle.

Main work

Wash the air filter thoroughly in special cleaning liquid and
allow it to dry properly.
Air filter cleaner ( p. 142)

Only press the air filter to dry it, never wring it out.

Oil the dry air filter with a high-grade air filter oil.

Clean the air filter box.
–
Clean the intake flange and check it for damage and tight-
ness.
Finishing work

Install the air filter. (

Install the air filter box cover. (
