Connect the cables to the drive and install the tape drive in the enclosure:
a.
Connect the cables that come with the drive to the connectors on the
inside of the enclosure. For SCSI and SAS option kits, see Figure 5. For
USB option kits, see Figure 7 on page 15.
b.
Connect the cables to the tape drive.
Important: The SCSI ID converter (included in the SCSI accessory kit)
must be installed when using VXA2, VXA3, and HH LTO2 drives. Install
the SCSI ID converter between the original SCSI ID cable and the drive,
as shown in Figure 6 on page 14, using the included double male
connector. Connect cables to the double male connector so the white
dots on the connectors align. For the VXA2 and VXA3 drives, connect
the other end of the SCSI ID converter to the drive with the white dot
facing up, as shown. For the HH LTO2 drive, connect the other end of
the SCSI ID converter to the drive with the white dot facing down.
c.
Slide the drive and rail assembly into the enclosure.
