Advanced Chipset Features

The Advanced Chipset Features Setup option is used to change the values of
the chipset registers. These registers control most of the system options in the
computer.
Choose the "ADVANCED CHIPSET FEATURES" from the Main Menu and
the following screen will appear.
Note: Change these settings only if you are familiar with the chipset.
SDRAM CAS Latency Time
The field controls the CAS latency, which determines the timing delay before
SDRAM starts a read command after receiving it. Setting options: 3, 2 (clock
cycles), Auto. 2 increases system performance while 3 provides more stable
system performance.
SDRAM Cycle Time Tras/Trc
This setting controls the number of SCLKs for an access cycle. Setting options:
5/7, 6/8.
SDRAM RAS-to-CAS Delay
When DRAM is refreshed, both rows and columns are addressed separately.
This setup item allows you to determine the timing of the transition from RAS
(row address strobe) to CAS (column address strobe). The less the clock cycles,
the faster the DRAM performance. Setting options: 3, 2.
