Why is a combination washer-dryer
installed in my apartment?
Your apartment managers wanted to
enhance your lifestyle by offering in unit
laundry. However, because of
planned (or existing) limits on space,
energy, or dryer venting, a full-size
washer and dryer couldn't be used.
With Splendide, they've provided you the
option to wash and dry small, loads of
laundry in the privacy of your own apartment.
Is doing laundry different in a
Splendide?
Yes. Splendide washer-dryers
save space, water, energy, and detergent while
treating fabrics gentler and washing them better.
Instead of doing several, bulky loads
of laundry one day a week, you'll learn to do
smaller, more convenient loads every day or two.

Simply program your Splendide to wash then dry
automatically - and let the machine do the rest!
Any tips for loading the drum?
Remember, in separate w/d's, dryer drums are 2x
larger than washer drums. In your Splendide, you
wash and dry in the same drum. If you wash full
loads, you'll need to remove some items (up to
50%) before starting a dry program. When you
program your machine to wash then dry
automatically, load the drum according to the
recommended load sizes for drying and your
desired dry time.
Sample Wash-Dry Load:
towels, 1 hand towel, and 1-2 wash
cloth(s). Dry Time*: 75-120 min.

Why can't I see the water through
the door?
Your Splendide uses the latest in
washing technology and needs less than half
the water to get wash results that are twice as
good! In fact, Spendide washer-dryers are rated
top of their class* in terms of wash performance
and energy efficiency.

Where's the dryer vent?
2-3 bath
clothes, Splendide's Comb-o-matic models heat
the load to create steam, then use cold water to
cool the outer drum. When the steam hits the
cooled surface, it's condensed back into water
and is pumped out through the drain. No venting
required!
How can I optimize my dry times?
Never overload the drum! Also, use 1-2
tbsp. of a liquid fabric softener (or a
detergent w/ built-in softener) during the wash

cycle. It'll shorten dry times,
(0 min. - 120 min.)
and reduce fabric wrinkling.
NOTE: When you remove items after drying, they
may feel slightly damp to the touch even though

they are dry. This is a normal result ot your
machine's self-condensing drying process. Simply
shake them out to allow any humidity to dissipate
(a few seconds) before folding or hanging them as
you usually would.
Permanent Press Dry
When can I open the door?
At the end of a cycle (or if you "Reset" a dry cycle),
the Status/Door Lock LED flashes quickly indicating
that the program is finished (or canceled) but the
door is still locked. When it flashes slowly, the door
can safely be opened. Note: Door may remain
