6.2.5 WLAN SETUP
The WLAN setup is strictly dependent on the existing wireless network infrastructure.
A example of WLAN setup is depicted:
• From the Winbond or Ralink Wireless Utility icon on the Windows Taskbar select: "Start Windows Zero
Configuration"
• Navigate through : "START -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Wireless Network Connection"
and select one of the available networks.
• If required, insert a network key or password.
• To further configure the WLAN parameters on the "Wireless Network Connection" "Related Tasks" panel, select
"Change advanced settings".
• The "Wireless Network Connection Properties" dialog pops up, select "Wireless Networks" tab
• Select the preferred network and press "Properties" to adjust the authentication / encryption parameters.
6.2.6 ETHERNET LAN SETUP
Setting up an Ethernet connection is just a matter of plugging the Ethernet cable in the RJ45 jack. It is advised to switch off
the WLAN connection in order to save battery power.
6.2.7 SCREEN BRIGHTNESS
The ProScribe is pre-configured to save battery power by switching the LCD brightness to a lower level when the power
plug is removed. Normal brightness is restored by going to:
"Control Panel > Tablet and Pen Settings > Display > Screen Brightness > Powered by Batteries" and by moving the slide
bar to "Bright".
