Speaker Connection

Follow the directions below to connect your speakers to your Sonos ZonePlayer.
Be sure to connect the red ( + ) and black ( - ) terminals from each speaker to the corresponding
terminals on the ZonePlayer. Mismatching of polarities will result in weak central sound, and a
distorted sense of sound direction. If this occurs, check the wiring and re-connect as necessary.
When making connections, ensure that none of the strands of your speaker wire
1.
come in contact with an adjoining terminal on the rear panel.
Use your thumb or finger to firmly push the spring-loaded speaker connector post
2.
inward to reveal the connection hole.
Insert the stripped end of the speaker wire into the hole, then release. The stripped
3.
portion should be caught firmly in the connector post.
Repeat to install the other speaker wires.
4.
Note: Not all speaker wire is the same. The speaker wire is the only contact the
speaker has with the ZonePlayer; if thin, low-quality cable is used, the overall sound
quality will suffer.
