    GENERAL SAFETY RULES Read all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. The term "power tool" in all of the warnings listed below refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

    MOTOR Many Porter-Cable tools will operate on either D.C., or single phase 25 to 60 cycle A.C. current and voltage within plus or minus 5 percent of that shown on the specification plate on the tool. Several models, however, are designed for A.C.

    ASSEMBLY NOTE: This tool is shipped completely assembled. No assembly time or tools are required. OPERATION TO START AND STOP SAW Make sure power circuit voltage is the same as that shown on the specification plate on the saw. Connect machine to power circuit. Squeeze trigger switch (A) Fig.
  • Page 10 LIQUID COOLANTS CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Use only stick wax to lubricate the blade. Porter-Cable’s “Lube Wax” is available as an accessory and is recommended when cutting aluminum, brass and thick materials. Cast iron should be cut dry.

When properly adjusted: the back edge of the blade will run lightly against at least one of the back-up rollers, but will not press heavily against the roller.
