Top Vent DVP-TRAP1 Exception
For installations that are top vented and horizontally terminated with a 90 degree elbow directly off the appliance
and minimum vent run, a termination cap with effective length equal to the DVP-TRAP1 is REQUIRED. Interior and
exterior wall sheathing 1/2 inch thick and 2 X 4 exterior wall studs are also assumed for this scenario.
