Align the tabs on the base cover with the slots on the palm-rest assembly and snap it into place.

Tighten the two captive screws (M2.5) that secure the base cover to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

Replace the eight screws (M2.5x6) that secure the base cover to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
