Piping and Drain Hose Installation
In case of right-side exit
• Cut out the knockout portion by the slits with a knife
or pair of wire cutters as necessary.
In case of downward pipe exit
• Cut out the knockout portion by the slits with a knife

Piping via left-hand connection
When piping the refrigerant pipe and drain pipe at the left side or at the rear left side, follow the procedure below.
(An incomplete piping may cause lifting-out of the main unit form the wall surface.)
1. Using a cutter, etc., cut off the portion of the connecting pipe, which is applied with heat-insulator.
(In this time, be sure not to damage the pipe.)

2. After connection of the pipes, apply heat insulation to the naked
pipes with the shield pipes (Accessory) (Length: 360mm). In the
case of piping at the rear left side, cut off the shield pipe
(Accessory) by 250mm.
Connect the pipes so that pipe at gas side (Ø15.88 side) is set at
the upper side. (See the figure at the right.)
NOTE :
Using vinyl tape, seal surely the heat-insulated portions of the main
unit and the connecting pipes.
In order to prevent the water leak, set the slit portion of the shield
pipe upward and apply sealing.
Wind firmly the shield pipe and the naked pipe with the vinyl tape so
that a clearance will not generate.
(Do not use the other heat-insulation material than the shield pipe
(Accessory) for heat-insulation of the naked pipes.)
• Bend the connecting pipe so that it is laid within 43mm above
the wall surface. If the connecting pipe is laid exceeding
43mm above the wall surface, the indoor unit could be
unstable when set on the wall. When bending the connecting
pipes, always use a suitable bending tool to avoid damaging
the pipes.
Bend the connection pipe within a radius of 30mm.

NOTE :
If the pipe is bent incorrectly, the indoor unit could be unstable on the wall.
After passing the connecting pipe through the pipe hole, connect the connecting pipe to the auxiliary pipes and
insulate as necessary.
Cut off the heat-insulated portion at a position 360mm
from the flare nut end of the pipe (Ø9.52) at the liquid side.
(The cut portion is not used.)
