Security Updates

Microsoft Security Updates and Service Packs
Microsoft releases a range of security updates and other operating system and software updates. Note that
only Honeywell-qualified Microsoft updates are supported. Therefore, you must wait until Honeywell has
validated Microsoft updates before installing them. It is also recommended that you implement a
controlled system for the distribution of all updates.
Timely information on security updates can be obtained by subscribing to the Microsoft Security
Bulletins at

Network Security

ControlEdge HC900 can be configured as redundant controller system or non-redundant controller
system. It includes provisions for communication via Ethernet with host systems.
Architecture
ControlEdge HC900 system has two network levels, level 1 network is used for internal I/O
communication between controller and related scanners, level 2 is aimed for the communication with the
third-party devices, HMI, SCADA or Engineering Workstation, take the following diagram as an example
of system architecture.
