Section 3 - Configuration
Select PPPoE if your ISP provides and requires you to enter a PPPoE username
and password in order to connect to the Internet.
Username Enter the username provided by your ISP.
Password
Enter the password provided by your ISP.
Reconnect Mode Select either Always on, On Demand, or Manual.
Maximum Idle Configurable when On Demand is selected. Enter a maximum idle
Time
time during which the Internet connection is maintained during
inactivity. To disable this feature, select Always on or Manual as the
reconnect mode. The default is 5 minutes.
Advanced Settings
Address Mode
Select Static IP if the following information has been provided by
your ISP: IP address, MTU, and DNS server addresses. In most cases,
select Dynamic IP.
If you select Dynamic IP as the Address Mode:
Service Name
Enter the ISP service name (optional).
Primary DNS
Enter the primary DNS server IP address assigned by your ISP. This
Server
address is usually obtained automatically from your ISP.
Secondary DNS
Enter the secondary DNS server IP address assigned by your ISP. This
Server address is usually obtained automatically from your ISP.
MTU
Maximum Transmission Unit (1280~1492)- you may need to change
the MTU for optimal performance with your ISP. The default is 1492.
