Cause
The paper size specified
in the machine's paper
size setting is not
available for automatic 2-
sided printing.
The paper in the tray is
not the correct size and is
not available for
automatic 2-sided
printing.
The paper in the tray is
not the correct size.
The drum unit is near the
end of its life.
If the LCD displays this
message, you can still
print. The toner cartridge
is near the end of its life.
It is time to replace the
drum unit.
The drum unit counter
was not reset when a new
drum was installed.
The specified tray ran out
of paper during copying
and the machine could
not feed the same size
paper from the next
priority tray.
Action
Press (if required).
Load the correct size of paper in the tray
and set the tray for that paper size.
Choose a paper size supported by 2-
sided printing.
(For models without the lever on the 2-
sided tray) Paper size available for
automatic 2-sided printing is A4.
(For models with the lever on the 2-
sided tray) Paper sizes available for
automatic 2-sided printing are A4, Letter,
Legal, Mexico Legal, India Legal and
Folio.
Load the correct size of paper in the tray
indicated on the LCD and set the size of
paper for the tray.
Order a new drum unit before the LCD
displays Replace Drum.
Order a new toner cartridge now so a
replacement toner cartridge is available
when the LCD displays Replace
Toner.
Replace the drum unit with a new one.
Reset the drum unit counter.
See the instructions included with the
new drum unit.
Refill the paper in the paper tray.
