Operator Interface
Swapping Console Control
The service switch, located in the computer control cabinet, allows you to
swap monitor, keyboard, and mouse control from the VISTA console to the
page tracker computer, as well as the print engine computers inside the print
engine card cages. This provides access to the software controls for each of
these computers.
To swap console control to one of the printing system computers:
1. Power on the VISTA console:
a. Locate the base unit for the VISTA console the computer control
cabinet and set the power switch to ON.
b. Set the power switch on the monitor to ON.
c. When a the password prompt appears on the monitor, enter your
password and press the
screens, the monitor displays the OS/2 desktop. Refer to Chapter 5 for
VISTA console operations.
2. Press and release the left
representing the port number. This connects your shared monitor,
keyboard, and mouse to the specified port as follows:

To connect to the print engine computer 1, press and release the left
