Install The Cable Management Arm - IBM 3453-C2E Customer Install Manual

Use this information to slide the enclosure into the rack.
To slide the enclosure into the rack, complete the following steps.
Procedure
1. Push up the rear latches on the slide rails.
2. Push the enclosure until the slide rails click into place.
3. Push up the front latches on the slide rails.
4. Push the enclosure all the way into the rack.

Install the cable management arm

NOTE: These management arms are an integral component of the system
design. Their use is critical for effective installation, for reliability of operation and for
ease and effectiveness of service. The cable management arms allow for orderly
routing of cables in system racks; they enable individual server enclosures to be slid out
on rails while powered and operating, minimizing disruption and system outages and
simplifying service operations. For these reasons and more, the cable management
arms are required. Should you choose not to install the management arms, IBM will not
be able to install or support your Cloud Pak for Data System. Should they be removed
after installation, you will void your system warranty and onsite service will not be
provided.
