Reinstall the AC and DC terminal covers.

If additional battery cabinets are to be connected to the first, in a daisy-chain configuration, connect each
EBM with the DC cables supplied in the EBM accessory kit. ).

Close the DC emergency disconnect switch button on the back of each EBM. Insert the switch key
supplied with the cabinet into the button and turn clockwise 1/2-turn. Pull the button OUT to close the
switch and reconnect DC power. Turn the key back counter-clockwise, and remove the key (see
).

Make sure all AC power is removed from the UPS. Observe all electrical safety precautions.
•
Only qualified service personnel (such as a licensed electrician) should perform the battery cabinet
installation. Risk of electrical shock.
•
For the 120V connected battery cabinet wiring option the EBM AC must be installed on its own dedicated
15 amp circuit, Do not connect the EBM AC input to the UPS.
•
Before connecting an external battery cabinet to the UPS cabinet or to another external battery cabinet,
verify that all AC input power is removed from the UPS. Open the input service circuit breaker or turn the
external bypass switch to the SERVICE position. Observe all electrical safety precautions.
•
Remove all battery modules in the UPS cabinet and/or battery cabinet to ensure DC voltage is removed
from the internal DC buses.
DC input cables only required if EBM(s) are installed upstream.
