WARNING

Completely blocking the burner ports can cause an incorrect fl ame pattern, carbon deposits and delayed
ignition.
Tear the embers into pieces and loosely layer above the burner ports covering the burner area. Care should be
taken to shred the embers into thin, small irregular pieces as only the exposed edges of the fi bre hairs will glow.
The ember material will only glow when exposed to direct fl ame; however, care should be taken to not
block off the burner ports.

when exposed to direct flame. Use only certified glowing embers and logs available form your local authorized
dealer / distributor. See log installation leaflets for details.

Do not block or close off the burner ports. Blocked ports can cause an incorrect fl ame pattern, carbon
deposits and delayed ignition.
When supplied, charcoal embers, charcoal lumps and vermiculite are not to be placed on the burner.

media placement

Air shutter

A. Cover all lenses completely with clear glass (shaded area).
B. Spread small amounts of amber glass over the clear glass to give the ember bed effect (shaded area).
C. Place charcoal chips in the front corners and down the sides. Additionally, spread a small amount over the
front light ember bed.
D. Refer to log installation leafl et for further details.
note:
Ensure to keep air shutter areas free from media.
It is recommended that the rear 2 accent lights are covered when installing porcelain panels. It is optional with
brick panels.
