ENGINE STOPS OR LOSES POWER

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Out of fuel
Kinked or plugged fuel vent
line
Water is present in fuel
Fouled or defective spark plug
Worn or defective spark plug
wires
Incorrect spark plug gap or
heat range
Loose ignition connections
Low battery voltage
Incorrect fuel
Clogged air filter
Clogged intake pre-filter
Other mechanical failure
Overheated engine
Refuel
Inspect and replace
Replace with new fuel
Inspect, clean and/or replace spark plug
Your authorized dealer can assist
Set gap to specs or replace plug
Check all connections and tighten
Recharge the battery
Replace with fresh recommended fuel
Inspect and clean or replace
Inspect and clean (with soapy water) or replace
Your authorized dealer can assist
Clean radiator screen and core, clean engine exterior, and check
coolant level. Your dealer can assist.
