Optional system

Power control
Power control settings save energy.
HNo signal off
You can set the TV to automatically power off for
about 15 minutes after the TV is in a state where no
program signal is received. (On, Off)
Five minutes before power off, remaining time will be displayed
every minute.
ATTENTION
When a TV program ends, and the TV receives a signal
input, this function may not work.
HInactive Off
You can set the TV to automatically power off when the TV
does not receive the remote control for more than 3 hours.
(Off, 3 hours, 30 minutes)
Five minutes before power off, remaining time will be displayed
every minute.
View options
HWidescreen
You can manually choose the size of the image
that appears on your screen.
The selectable image size varies according to the type
of signal received.
Pressa/bwhile the widescreen mode menu is
displayed on the screen.
As you scroll down the options, each mode is immediately
reflected on the TV.

Maintain the same aspect ratio in full

Zoom 14:9
14:9 aspect ratio. A thin stripe appears on
each side of the screen, and stripes can be
seen at the top and bottom of the frame
for some programs.

In this mode, the image will be stretched
at the edges of the screen. The picture
may appear like "Full screen" depending
on the broadcast signal.

For 16:9 compressed images.

Theater 16:9 For a 16:9 mailbox style image. Bars may
appear at the top or bottom with some

Theater 14:9 For a 14:9 mailbox style image. Bars may
appear at the top or bottom with some

The screen is small enough only when
receiving 720p/1080p/1080i signal

High-Resolution images. Noise may
appear at the edge of the screen with
some programs.

Display an image with the same number of
pixels on the screen (only when receiving 1080i/
1080p signals for LC-40LE280X).
ATTENTION
• "Zoom 14:9" and "Theater 14:9" will appear only for TV
mode.
Some entries do not appear depending on the received
signal type.

Allows you to change the sound while watching
a polyphonic program. (Auto, MONO)
Bilingual
Choose from 3 mode types: Double I, Double II and
Double I + II.
Only sound
When listening to music from a music program, you
can turn off the screen to enjoy the music only.
Selected item
Both the image and the sound on

Open
The sound is output without the
image on the screen.
ATTENTION
When you perform picture-changing operations on the TV
such as by changing the input source, the Sound Only
function is set to "Off".

Audio Description (DTV input mode only)
This function allows to adjust the volume level of the
audio descriptor if the TV receives a signal that
includes the audio descriptor.

that language.

in Teletext broadcasts if subtitle languages are
