Update firmware

New firmware versions of the CP
If a new firmware version is available for the CP, you will find this on the Internet pages of
Siemens Industry Online Support:

Save the firmware file on your server PC.
You can download a new firmware file to the CP via the online functions of PCS neo. You can
find the detailed description of the configuration in the online help for engineering.

Resetting to factory settings

Delivery state of the CP
The reset to factory settings restores the CP to the delivery state.
You perform the functions on the engineering station in online mode.
When resetting the CPU, note the effects on the CP. You will find the description in the CPU
manual /3/ (Page 41).

Recognition of the CP

• Pulling and plugging the CP
The CPU identifies the CP via the slot. The CP adopts the configuration data from the CPU.
