When you frame a picture, the camera automatically selects the optimum scene
for simple shooting.

When the camera is pointed at the subject, the camera D
automatically switches to the setting that is suited for
tile following shooting mode.

The camerais switched to underwater mode when it is lowered into water.
• The camera automatically selects the focus area for autofocus in accordance
with the composition. The camera detects and focuses on faces (see "Using
Face Detection" (_6S) for more information).

• When the digital zoom is in effect, the shooting mode is set to I'_'11,
• The desired scene mode may not be selected in certain conditions, In this case, select another
shooting mode.
_1_ Note after Taking the Camera out of the Water
After taking the ca mera out of water, sometimes it may not automatically switch to another scene
from underwater mode.
Gently brush any water droplets with your hand from the camera or wipe it off with a soft and dry
cloth, See "Cleaning after using the camera underwater" (_xiii) for more information on caring for
the camera.
