Rack Mount Kit Installation
(Sold separately: RK-DM3)
Precautions for Rack Mounting
Operation of this product is guaranteed in the
temperature range of 0 to 40°C. If mounted in an EIA
standard rack with other equipment, the heat from
each device raises the temperature inside the rack,
which may prevent it from demonstrating its full
performance. To prevent heat buildup, mount the
product in a rack only under the following conditions.
• Leave at least 1U between it and other devices
when mounted with devices that tend to generate
heat, such as power amplifiers. Further, ensure
sufficient ventilation by installing a ventilation panel
in the space, or simply leave it open.
1
Install the rack mounting brackets.
Secure the rack mounting brackets to the unit with the 6
screws included with the rack mounting kit. The shape of
the left and right rack mounting brackets is identical.
Make sure there is no looseness in the rack mounting
brackets.
CAUTION
2

This product requires at least 11U* of space to mount it
in a rack. We recommend ensuring at least 13U* of
space in order to connect its cables.
*11U is approximately 489 mm, while 13U is 578 mm.
