REPLACING HYDRAULIC TANK BREATHER ELEMENT

The parts and oil are at high temperature after the engine
is stopped, and may cause burns. Wait for the
temperature to go down before starting the work.
When removing the oil filler cap, turn it slowly to release
the internal pressure, then remove it.
1.
Remove cover (1).
2.
Loosen bolt (2) at the top of the filler cap, then remove cap
cover (3).
3.
Remove element (4).
4.
Coat O-ring (5) of the new element with grease, then install.
5.
Align cap cover (3) with the grooves in the body, then tighten with
bolt (2).
6.
Install cover (1).

CHANGING AXLE OIL

Refill capacity (front and rear, each): 24.0 liters (6.34 US gal)
A: Front B: Rear
1.
Place a container to catch the oil under drain plug (P).
2.
Remove plug (1), then remove drain plug (P) to drain the oil.
Remove the mud and dirt from around plug (1), then

remove the plug.
4.
After draining the oil, clean drain plug (P) and install it again.
5.
Add axle oil through plug hole (1) at the refill level.
Remark
For axles with ASD (Limited-Slip Differential), the brand of
lubricating oil is different, always use the specified
lubricating oil. For operations where the brake is used
frequently, change the axle oil at shorter intervals.
6.
After adding oil, check that the oil is at the specified level. For
details, See "CHECKING AXLE OIL LEVEL" on page (3-23).
