• Wit h f ormat s ot her t han ISO 9660 level 1 and
level 2, f older names or f ile names may not be
displayed correct ly.
• When naming, be sure t o add t he f ile ext ension
" .M P3" t o t he f ile name.
• If you put t he ext ension " .M P3" t o a f ile ot her
t han M P3, t he unit cannot recognize t he f ile
properly and w ill generat e random noise t hat
could damage your speakers.
• The f ollow ing discs t ake a longer t ime t o st art
playback.

• If you play a high-bit rat e M P3 f ile such as 320
kbps, sound may be int ermit t ent .
Cautions w hen playing a disc that is recorded in
M ulti Session
• When t he f irst t rack of t he f irst session is audio
CD dat a:
Only audio CD dat a is played back.
Non-audio CD dat a/M P3 f ile inf ormat ion (t rack
number, t ime, et c.) is displayed w it h no sound.
• When t he f irst t rack of t he f irst session is not
audio CD dat a:
— If an M P3 f ile is in t he disc, only M P3 f ile(s)
play back and ot her dat a is skipped. (Audio CD
dat a is not recognized).
— If no M P3 f ile is in t he disc, " NO M USIC" is
displayed and not hing is played back. (Audio
CD dat a is not recognized).

The playback order of the folders and files is as
follows:

• A f older t hat does not include an M P3 f ile is
skipped.
• When you insert a disc w it h many t rees, it t akes a
longer t ime t o st art playback.
We recommend t hat you make only one or t w o
t rees f or each disc.
• M aximum f older number: 150 (including root
f older and empt y f olders).
• The maximum number of M P3 f iles and f olders
t hat can be cont ained in a disc: 302
When a f ile/f older name cont ains many
charact ers, t his number may become less t han
302.
• The maximum number of t rees w hich can be
played is 8.
Tip
To specif y a desired playback order, bef ore t he
f older or f ile name, input t he order by number
(e.g., " 01," " 02" ), t hen record cont ent s ont o a disc.
(The order dif f ers depending on t he w rit ing
sof t w are).
