Installation IMPORTANT: Supported only from FortiWLC Release 8.4.0 or later and FortiGate with FortiOS Release 5.6.3 and later. The FortiAP boots up with the default FortiWLC AP image Controller Discovery and tries to discover the FortiWLC, FortiGate, and FortiCloud controllers simultaneously. The FortiAP connects to the controller that is first discovered. • If FortiWLC controller is discovered, the unit continues booting up with the default FortiWLC image. - Page 11 Follow these steps to complete the FortiCloud discovery. The FortiAP unit is designed to require no configuration in most networks. Zero configuration mode works if the unit is on the same Zero layer-2 network and subnet as the FortiWLC, or if the unit is on the same layer-3 network and subnet as the FortiGate or FortiCloud Configuration controller. - Page 15 To enable the FortiAP using Zero Configuration: 1.
