Installation IMPORTANT: Supported only from FortiWLC Release 8.4.0 or later and FortiGate with FortiOS Release 5.6.1 and later. Use the 2.4GHz antennas to access 2.4GHz radio (IEEE 802.11b/g/n) signals and the 5GHz antennas to access 5GHz radio (IEEE 802.11a/n/ac) signals. The FortiAP boots up with the default FortiWLC AP image Controller Discovery and tries to discover the FortiWLC, FortiGate, and FortiCloud controllers simultaneously. The FortiAP unit is designed to require no configuration in most networks. Zero configuration mode works if the unit is on the same Zero layer-2 network and subnet as the FortiWLC, or if the unit is on the same layer-3 network and subnet as the FortiGate or FortiCloud Configuration controller. - Page 18 To enable the FortiAP using Zero Configuration: 1.
