Calling someone in the
phonebook
Phonebook items can be searched for
alphabetically by scrolling through the
phonebook items.

Press {V} or {^}.

Press {Phonebook}.
L For quick search, you can skip to step
4.

Press {Search}.

Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to display
the desired item.
L To exit the phonebook, press {OFF}.

Press {C}, {s}, {Line1}, or {Line2}.
Note:
L To view a phone number over 16 digits
long, follow steps 1 to 4, then press
{MENU}, {Edit} and {V}. Press {OFF}
when finished.
To search for a name by initial

Press {V} or {^}.

Press {Phonebook}, then press
{Search}.

Press the dialing button ({0} to {9},
{#}, or {*}) which corresponds to the
first letter you are searching for (see the
character table, page 26).
Example: "LISA"
Press {5} repeatedly to display any
name with the initial "L".
L If there is no item corresponding to
the letter you selected, the next item
will be displayed.

Press {V} repeatedly to display the
desired item.

{C}, {s}, {Line1}, or {Line2}.

Editing items in the phonebook

Press {V} or {^}.

Press {Phonebook}, then press
{Search}.

Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to display
the desired item.

Press {MENU}, then press {Edit}.

Edit the name if necessary. See the
character table on page 26 for
character entry.

Press {V}.

Edit the phone number if necessary.

Press {V}, then press {Save}.
L To edit other items, repeat from step
3.

Press {OFF}.

Erasing items in the phonebook

Press {V} or {^}.

Press {Phonebook}, then press
{Search}.

Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to display
the desired item.

Press {MENU}, then press {Erase}.
L To cancel erasing, press {No}.

Press {Yes}.
L To erase other items, repeat from
step 3.

Press {OFF}.
