Chicken & Rice Soup
5 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
3 stalks celery, sliced (about 1-1/4 cups)
3 carrots, peeled and sliced (about 1-1/4 cups)
1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
1 teaspoon lemon juice
DIRECTIONS:
1. Remove bread pan; attach kneading blade.
2. Combine broth, dissolved cornstarch and seasoning;
pour into pan. Add celery, carrots, onion and rice.
Cover pan.
3. Insert bread pan, close lid and plug in.
4. Press SELECT until setting number 13 is displayed.
Press timer button until :45 is displayed. Press START.
5. Pour into serving dish; stir in peas and carrots and
lemon juice.

Baked Potato Soup

2 cups chicken broth
1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1 cup milk
3 medium baked potatoes (about 1 lb.), cut into 1/2-inch pieces
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
6 tablespoons sour cream
2/3 cup sliced green onions
DIRECTIONS:
1. Remove bread pan; attach kneading blade.
2. Combine broth, soup and milk. Add potatoes. Cover pan.
3. Insert bread pan, close lid and plug in.
4. Press SELECT until setting number 13 is displayed.
Press START.
5. Garnish individual servings of soup with bacon, sour cream
and green onions.
6. Salt and pepper to taste.

Vegetable Minestrone

2 cans (about 14 oz. each) vegetable broth (about 4 cups)
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian recipe stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 oz.) butter beans or white beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian sliced green beans
3 medium carrots, sliced (about 1-1/4 cups)
3 stalks celery, sliced
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup uncooked small shell pasta
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS:
1. Remove bread pan; attach kneading blade.
2. Combine broth and tomatoes; pour into bread pan.
Add remaining ingredients in order listed;
press ingredients down so they are covered with liquid.
Add water to cover if necessary. Cover pan.
3. Insert bread pan, close lid and plug in.
4. Press SELECT until setting number 13 is displayed.
Press timer button until :45 is displayed. Press START.
5. Salt and pepper to taste.

Seafood Gumbo

4 oz. roux
2-1/2 lbs. of peeled and deveined small shrimp
2 Quarts
6 oz. crabmeat
1 cup fresh oysters (optional)
8 oz. chicken broth
1/2 cup chopped onion tops
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 quart water
DIRECTIONS:
1. Remove bread pan; attach kneading blade.
2. Combine ingredients in the order listed. Cover pan.
3. Insert bread pan, close lid and plug in.
4. Press SELECT until setting number 13 is displayed
and select time of 1:30 on time control. Press START.

Rice

1 cup rice
1/4 tsp. salt
DIRECTIONS:
1. Remove bread pan. (Do not use paddle)
6 Cups
2. ADD rice, water and salt. Cover pan with lid.
3. Insert bread pan, close lid and plug in.
4. Press SELECT until setting number 13 is set cook
time to 40 minutes. Press START.
10 Cups
1-3/4 cups water
9 Cups
