    MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING REPLACEMENT OF VERMICULITE Vermiculite is a naturally occurring aluminium-magnesium silicate material that is non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The purpose of the vermiculite bricks in the appliance is to promote a higher internal temperature resulting in a longer burn time and greater efficiency. Over time the vermiculite may become cracked and crumble away.
