TROUBLESHOOTING

If the fuel pump fails to operate.
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Storage box
2. Leg shield
1. Check the fuses.
(Main, ECU, and ignition)
Refer to "CHECKING THE FUS-
ES" on page 8-135.

2. Check the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY" on
page 8-136.
OK ↓
3. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-131.

4. Check the fuel pump relay (for
YP125RA).
Refer to "CHECKING THE RE-
LAYS" on page 8-139.
OK ↓
5. Check the fuel pump operation.
Refer to "CHECKING THE FUEL
PRESSURE" on page 7-3.
OK ↓
6. Check the diode 3 (for YP125RA).
Refer to "CHECKING THE DI-
ODES" on page 8-141.
OK ↓
7. Check the entire fuel pump system
wiring.
Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM (for
YP125R)" on page 8-73 and "CIR-
CUIT DIAGRAM (for YP125RA)" on
page 8-75.

Replace the ECU.
NG →
Replace the fuse(s).
NG →
• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.
NG →
Replace the main switch/immobilizer unit.
NG →
Replace the fuel pump relay.
NG →
Replace the fuel pump.
NG →
Replace the diode 3.
NG →
Properly connect or replace the wire har-
ness.
