Procedure 3
Quick Charge Check
The power supply may not be charging the battery pack. Perform the following procedures.
1.
Install the battery pack on the T4850CT.
2.
Attach the AC adapter to the computer, then turn on the power. (If you cannot
turn on the power, go to Procedure 4.)
3.
Run the Diagnostic test following the steps described in Chapter 3, and select
System Configurations.
4.
Read the character(s) on the battery capacity display area of the status indicator
panel.
If the character matches any of the codes in the following table, go to each check
item. If none of the codes display, go to Procedure 4.

Check 1
Make sure the AC adapter's cable and AC cord are firmly plugged into the DC IN
socket and wall outlet. If these cables are connected correctly, replace the AC
cord and AC adapter.
Check 2
The battery pack may be completely discharged. Wait a few minutes to charge the
battery pack. If the battery pack still does not charge, replace the battery pack
with a new one.
Check 3
The battery's temperature is hot or cold. Remove the battery and let it return to a
normal operating temperature.
If the battery pack still does not charge, replace the battery pack with a new one.
Check 4
Go to Procedure 4.
