Share content from Windows or Android Devices

The Polycom Trio solution supports the following Android and Windows devices:
Microsoft Surface
Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets with software Android 4.2 or later.
Devices with Miracast
Microsoft Windows 10 devices with Miracast support
For more information on sharing content wirelessly, refer to the documentation for your Android or
Windows product.

Share Content with an HDMI or VGA Connection

Users can share content from a device that's connected to a paired Trio VisualPro or RealPresence
Group Series system with an HDMI or VGA cable.
1.
Connect the device to the paired system with an HDMI or VGA cable
2.
Do one of the following on the phone menu:
When Not on a

call: Select
Connect Devices to Trio
Users can connect devices (laptop PCs, Tablets, Mobile Phones) to the Trio using a USB cable, Bluetooth, or
Near Field Communication (NFC), where those features are included and enabled.

Bluetooth Connections

The Bluetooth feature on the RealPresence Trio 8800 enables you to place calls on your mobile phone and
use the system as a speakerphone for the call. Users may also use the system to play audio from media,
such as music or videos from your mobile phone or tablet.

Make the System Visible to Nearby Bluetooth Devices

Before attempting to connect a Bluetooth or NFC device to the system, make sure the system is visible
to nearby Bluetooth devices.
On the Home screen:

Tap Bluetooth.
Make sure Visible to all nearby Bluetooth devices is displayed

The system is made visible to all nearby Bluetooth devices and the
message updates.

Connect Using Bluetooth

If Bluetooth is enabled on the Trio, users can connect a Bluetooth-capable mobile phone or tablet to the
system. The RealPresence Trio remembers up to 10 previously paired devices. Bluetooth connections
cannot be made during an active call on the system. Bluetooth must be enabled on the device and the
name of the Trio system must be selected when it is detected for the connection to work.
