Solution
Channels 1-7 and 15-22 are GMRS channels These
channels are not available on the device unless the
GMRS radio is activated in the radio setup
1 Remove the batteries
2 Reinstall the batteries
NOTE: This does not erase any of your data or settings
Select Setup > Reset > Restore Defaults to Factory
Settings
1 Take your device out of parking garages and away
from tall buildings and trees
2 Turn on the device
3 Remain stationary for several minutes
• Ensure the lithium-ion battery is properly installed

• Ensure the temperature is between 32°F and 113°F
(from 0 to 45°C)
• Turn down the backlight
1 Leave the device on until the battery runs out
2 Fully charge the battery without interrupting the
charge cycle
