Is +6.2V on the emitter of Q861?
Is +5V on the collector of Q861?
Is +5V on the 64 pin (VDD) of IC802?
Is +5V on the 6 pin, the 43 pin and the 51 pin (DVDD) of IC802, the
15 pin (PVDD), the 25 pin (AVDD), the 39 pin (AVDD3)?
Is 0V on the 38 pin (SEL) of IC802?
Is approx. 2V on the collector of Q801?
Check BI802/CNS802. If normal, the pickup is defective.
• NO DISC display
Does RF waveform of approx. 1.3V (P-P) appear on the 22 pin
(RFO) of IC801?
Does eye pattern appear on the 24 pin of IC802?
Check around IC802. If OK, IC802 is defective.
• The Video CD cannot be played normally.
Whilst the disc is playing, is a signal being supplied to pins 96 ~98
on IC15V? (Refer to the waveform shown in Figure 45.)
Does the image freeze sometimes?
The disc has flaws in it or it is dirty. The disc itself has a defect.
