Safety instructions

. Read the instructions for use carefully before using your appliance for the first time: in the event of any commercial use,
inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the
guarantee will not apply.
. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
. Check that the power voltage indicated on the nameplate of the appliance * corresponds to that of your mains
installation. Any connection or handling error renders the guarantee invalid.
. Never touch moving parts. fig. 2
. Never handle the blade of the blender shaft when your appliance is connected.
. Always unplug your appliance before performing any operations: assembly, disassembly and maintenance of the shaft.

. Always unplug the appliance when it is left unsupervised.
. Never disassemble the body of the appliance. You need only carry out standard cleaning and maintenance of the
appliance.
. If the power cord or the plug is damaged, do not use your appliance. So as to avoid any danger, it is imperative that you
have them replaced by an approved service centre (see list in the hand blender booklet).
. For your safety, only use accessories and spare parts that correspond to your appliance.
. Do not operate it for more than 30 seconds each time.
Starting up / Use
. Before using for the first time, clean the accessories in soapy
water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
. Place the ingredients in a large enough container to avoid
any splashes.
. Screw the blender shaft onto the motor unit (A), then plug in the appliance. fig. 4
. Immerse the shaft to the bottom of the container and press the start button (B).
Practical advice
. The container that you are using should be a maximum of 2/3 full to avoid any overflow. The preparation should at least
cover the bottom of the blender to ensure efficient blending. fig. 5
. Remove the cooking container from the heat source when blending hot preparations. Remember to move the blender
shaft around the container for optimal blending.
