Setup Procedure for QLogic Converged Network

Adapter Cards

This chapter describes the driver setting operations required to establish a connection between a server with

QLogic Converged Network Adapter card and an ETERNUS DX.

2.1

All work after this point requires "root" privileges. When using supported combinations, this procedure is

used for all OS architectures (e.g. x86, EM64T), and Converged Network Adapter cards, BIOS versions and

driver versions.

Workflow

Setting Up the Converged Network Adapter Cards

Install the Converged Network Adapter cards, acquire their physical addresses and WWN information.

Install the driver. Download the proper driver from the QLogic Corp. web-site if required.
