[ ENT ] Key
Press the [ ENT ] Key to determine the menu selection.
[ CLR ] Key
Press the [ CLR ] Key to cancel the menu selection.
[ DISTRESS ] Key
Used to send a DSC Distress Call. To send the distress call refer to section
"9.3.1 (Transmitting A DSC Distress Call)."
ACCESSORY CONNECTION CABLE
Connects the GX1500E to a GPS and an external speaker.
DC INPUT CABLE
Connects the radio to a DC power supply capable of delivering 12V DC.
ANTENNA JACK
Connects an antenna to the transceiver. Use a marine VHF antenna with
an impedance of 50 ohms.
REMOTE MIC CONNECTOR
Connects the GX1500E to the enhanced RAM+ MIC (Remote Access Mi-
crophone) or the VH-310 Handset. Refer to section "11 ENHANCED RAM+
MIC OPERATION" or "12 VH-310 HEADSET OPERATION" for details.
PTT (Push-To-Talk) SWITCH
Keys the transmitter when the transceiver is in radio mode. If the transceiver
is in the intercom mode (between the RAM+ or VH-310 Headset and the
GX1500E), or PA mode, it activates the GX1500E microphone for voice com-
munications.
