Color difference between the front and the rear sides due to
uneven density (shading)
[Symptom]
Color difference between the front side [a] and the rear side [b] due to uneven density (shading) may occur.
The arrow [c] indicates the direction of feeding.
[Service work]
1) Go to Settings/Registration > Adjustment/Maintenance > Adjust Image Quality > Auto Adjust Gradation > and execute Full
Adjust following the procedure shown in the UI screen.
[Reference] The following shows recommended paper for Japan, USA, and Europe.
-JPN : CS680/68g [Nippon Paper]
-USA : Canon Multipurpose 20lb/75g [Domtar]
-EUR : Oce Red Label 80/80g [Mondi Business Paper]
2) Output the test sheet "CA-1" in A3 full color.
3) Check the color difference of gray between the front side [a] and rear side [b] in the output image.
- Case [A]: Blue is brighter in a than in b.
- Case [B]: Red is brighter in a than in b.
- Case [C]: Yellow is brighter in a than in b.
- Case [D]: Blue is brighter in b than in a.
- Case [E]: Red is brighter in b than in a.
- Case [F]: Yellow is brighter in b than in a.
