6.8 Storing Protected Content on a
Memory Card
Certain items that you download to your phone are encrypted
with Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology. This
protected content is encrypted with a key (coded data) that
locks and unlocks the content. To play back or view protected
content that is stored on the memory card, you must have
the corresponding key stored on the phone itself. The key
determines how the content can be used.
For example, the key may allow you to play the content of
your download 5 times or use the content for a specified
period of time, such as 3 days before it expires.
