USB Mouse Support (Disabled)
Enable this item if you plan to use a USB mouse.
AC97 Audio (Auto)
Enables and disables the onboard audio chip. Disable this item if you are go-
ing to install a PCI audio add-on card.
AC97 Modem (Auto)
Enables and disables the onboard modem. Disable this item if you are going
to install an external modem.
Init Display First (PCI Slot)
Use this item to specify whether your graphics adapter is installed in one of
the PCI slots or is integrated on the mainboard.
IDE HDD Block Mode (Enabled)
Enable this field if your IDE hard drive supports block mode. Block mode en-
ables BIOS to automatically detect the optimal number of block read and
writes per sector that the drive can support and improves the speed of access
to IDE devices.
POWER ON Function (Hot KEY)
Enables you to set power on parameters. The default setting enables you to
use a hot key to turn on the system.
KB Power ON Password (Enter)
When the POWER ON Function is set to Password, use this item to set the
password.
Hot Key Power ON (Ctrl-F12)
When the POWER ON Function is set to Hot KEY, use this item to set the hot
key combination that turns on the system.
Onboard FDC Controller (Enabled)
This option enables the onboard floppy disk drive controller.
Onboard Serial Port 1 (3F8/IRQ4)
This option is used to assign the I/O address and interrupt request (IRQ) for
the onboard serial port 1 (COM1).
Onboard Serial Port 2 (2F8/IRQ3)
This option is used to assign the I/O address and interrupt request (IRQ) for
the onboard serial port 2 (COM2).
UART Mode Select (Normal)
This field is available if the Onboard Serial Port 2 field is set to any option but
Disabled. UART Mode Select enables you to select the infrared communica-
tion protocol-Normal (default), IrDA, or ASKIR. IrDA is an infrared
communication protocol with a maximum baud rate up to 115.2K bps. ASKIR
