Training & Qualifications
This product is designed for use by professionals
trained for working in a construction environment or
around high voltage electrical equipment. If you are not
trained in the work methods required for safe operation,
do not use this product.

Pre-Operation Inspection

Daily before use, inspect the tool and correct
any problems before using to reduce the risk
of injury and prevent product damage. If any
problems are found, do not use this tool until the
problems have been fixed, failure to follow these
steps increase the risk of injury.
Do not use hands to check for oil leaks. Oil
under pressure easily punctures skin. If injured,
seek medical attention immediately.
1. Remove battery before inspecting tool.
2. Clean any oil, grease or dirt from the tool body and
head, including handles and controls. This aids
inspection and helps prevent the machine or control
from slipping from your grip. Clean and maintain per
maintenance instructions.
3. Inspect tool body and head for damage in the form
of chips, wear and pitting. Replace any worn or
damaged parts. A damaged or improperly assembled
tool can break and strike nearby personnel.
4. Inspect the die seat area is free of damage and
debris. Debris in the die seat area can interfere with
the die or adapter's ability to be secured in tool head.
5. Inspect the tool head for damage. Replace any worn
or damaged parts.
6. Inspect dies before use. Do not use if any dies are
worn, corroded, rusted, or cracked. A damaged die
can break and strike nearby personnel.
7. Check the rotation of the head assembly. The head
should rotate no more than one turn (360°). If the
head rotates past this point, send in for service.
Check for proper assembly and completeness, do
not use if there are missing or misaligned parts.
8. Check for the presence and condition of decals.
9. Inspect any other equipment and batteries according
to their instruction manuals.
If any issues are found, do not use this tool until
corrected.
