Before you use this product

For your safety

• The product should only be used as described within these instructions.
• Unauthorized repairs, alterations or changes to the product are prohibited.

Risk of injury:

• Keep this device and the battery out of reach of children.
• Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
• Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
• Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking batteries.

• Do not expose the display unit to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks. Protect it from moisture.
• Protect the humidity probe from moisture. Caution when you moisten the terrarium!

Getting started

• Remove the protective film from the display.
• Open the battery compartment and insert a new AAA 1,5 V battery, ensure that the batteries' polarities are correct.
• The device is ready for use.
• The humidity measured by the cable sensor and the indoor temperature (IN) appear on the display.
• To toggle the display to the temperature measured by the cable sensor (OUT), press the IN/OUT button.
• Press the °C/°F button to change between °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature unit.

Maximum and minimum values

• Press the MAX/MIN button and MAX and the highest temperature (IN or OUT) and humidity is displayed since the last reset.
• Press the MAX/MIN button again and MIN and the lowest temperature (IN or OUT) and humidity is displayed since the last reset.
• To go back to the present value display, press the MAX/MIN button once more.
• Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for two seconds while the maximum or minimum values are displayed to clear the recorded readings. The actual values then appear.
• The device will automatically quit the MAX/MIN mode if no button is pressed for 10 seconds.

Mounting

• Attach the cable sensors to the inside of the terrarium glass with the suction cups - Make sure to clean the glass beforehand.
• The temperature probe is waterproof. Avoid radiators and direct sunshine.
• Protect the humidity probe from moisture. If you use a watering system make the sensor is protected from direct water.
• Attach the thermo-hygrometer outside the terrarium with the clip or place it on a surface with the fold-out stand.

Care and maintenance

• Clean the instrument and the cables with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
• Remove the battery if you do not use the device for a long period of time.

Troubleshooting

Waste disposal

Never dispose of empty batteries and rechargeable batteries with ordinary household waste.

As a consumer, you are required by law to take them to your retail store or to an appropriate collection site depending on national or local regulations in order to protect the environment.

The symbols for the contained heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead

This product is labelled in accordance with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE).

Please do not dispose of this product in ordinary household waste. As a consumer, you are required to take end-of-life devices to a designated collection point for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment, in order to ensure environmentally-compatible disposal.
