Seat, seatbelt and SRS airbags/Child restraint systems
. Do not place the head restraint
that has been removed in the
passenger compartment to pre-
vent it from being thrown around
in the passenger compartment in
a sudden stop or a sharp turn.
! Required conditions
When you install a child restraint system
to the passenger's seat, be sure that all of
the following required conditions are met.
. The passenger's seat is adjusted as
follows.
1)
Seat position: fully rearward position
2)
Seat cushion height: highest position
(models with seat cushion height adjust-
ment)
3)
Seatback reclining: most upright position
. The front passenger's frontal airbag
ON indicator is off.

Front passenger's frontal airbag OFF

2)
Front passenger's frontal airbag ON
indicator
Depending on the type and/or form of the
child restraint system, and the child's
weight, the front passenger's frontal air-
bag ON indicator may not turn off. In this
case, install the child restraint system to a
rear seating position. For details about the
front passenger's frontal airbag ON indi-
cator, refer to "Occupant detection sys-
tem" F1-58.
. The child restraint system does not
contact the head restraint. If the child
restraint system makes contact with the
head restraint, raise the head restraint to
